WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the first time since he was born that he has not been hooked up to any monitoring machines :) Once we got the go-ahead, Murvin and I unplugged and unhooked and gave him a bath lol. He looks so happy and content. And of course, so were we. We had a family meeting with the docs a few days ago and they said that as of right now, he is as close to 'normal' for his condition as can be. All his organ systems are in good working order and we just have to be diligent about keeping him healthy and not near people who may be sick, etc. Tomorrow is our expected go home date, and I have his going home outfit all ready to go. Hi everyone! The latest update is that he is coming off his IV meds today and should come off his monitors over the weekend so we can 'practice' before going home without all the monitors. He seems to be doing good, and it still looks like Monday is our going home day. We have a family meeting scheduled for this afternoon so go over what to expect, look for, etc for when we bring him home. More updates to come!

Welcome to our new venture. I was inspired to try this by other families who had sent me their links, and my friend Dani who just started one about her adoption journey. The care page has been great, but I think this will allow for more freedom and pictures of course! Please forward this link to anyone you think would be interested.
